What’s next for League For Gamers?
We’ve been working with lawyers and accountants to find the ideal structure to set up before taking any further donations. One function of either this organization or one of its sister organization which we may need to create, is to fund political contributions to candidates who understand the Internet and gaming, and to oppose candidates who were in favor of SOPA/PIPA.
This will take time.
But if we do it right, we will be in a good position to do more than just petitions in the future.
We are also looking to assemble the writing group from the blog portion of this site. Thank you for submitting your resumes. We hope to get back to everyone in a week or two.
Finally, we hired a designer to help us with a design for this site and to enact forums, which everyone has been asking for.
That’s it for now. Thank you for your continued support!

3:36 says it so well.
I haven’t finished this video yet, but it is already an amazing thing…not just for what John Barlow says, but WHERE he is saying it and to WHOM.
Keep in mind, Cory Doctorow was invited but declined to go. This is a tremendous detriment in these events. We should be speaking out about copyright issues far more than before SOPA was passed. Now that most copyright policies can affect the internet and people’s perusal, it’s imperative that more people should take the chance to speak out.
Look at how the crowd responded to Barlow. They greatly want someone that spoke to them instead of the old guard of politicians in control of outdated media. I’m glad that Barlow had the chance to speak and show that copyright issues are greatly exaggerated when the world knows there are better ways to make money and enjoy the internet.
Looking forward to the new LFG forums! I can’t wait. Thanks so much LFG for what you did and continue to do for us.
